We have completed the second day.... the party's over, but according to the doctor's this is good,
She is use to having everything the Burger King's way and they are just not interested in that here. We feel like this will help us not only with her eating but with her behavior as well. It is amazing that children here do not have temper tantrums in the public. They go with the flow. We are learning alot about the difference. She still has not had a g-tube feed but she is still going like gain busters. The tram system here is very efficicient. We went to a mall today to do some shopping and you know Tim with his sense of direction, we have not gotten totally lost once. On day 2 we have not had very much trouble. Just a little bit with the electrical system so that we would be able to run our applicances. But as usual, Tim figured it out and we seem to be up and running. I have to say, they seem to be much more interested in the US than we are in them. US news is easily obtained. Not so much however with us for them.
We saw the press confererence with Bush regarding IRAN , interesting. They have cut all g-tube feeds for Alex. She protested today at play picinic strongly. And believe it or not, they said this is very good. This is very hard work for her. She is use to getting what she wants exactly when she wants it. For example, at home she would ask for ICE and we would be so happy that she asked for anything by mouth so we would give it to her.... Hear they are so much more laid back about the whole thing. They are basically like this is what we have, take it or leave it. You can tell that she does not quite know what to make of this but yet curiously she is very drawn to the Ava who is placing these limitations on her. We are still adjusting to the time but doing very well, Until tomorrrow.... We love you all...

Miss Alex protesting!!! What are those people thinking. We don't have a baby that has fits and tantrums when things don't go her way. Tim & Michelle, I don't know what child you have with you, but I packed my sweet little Alex. You better find her. LOLOLOL!!! I am happy to hear that things are progressing, for the most part. Don't pull your hair out just yet Mom & Dad - it will get worse before it gets better. Big hugs and kisses to Alex. Miss you.
Love from Patty
We are so glad she is doing well. I'm sure the time change is hard to adjust to. That is fantastic she has not had a g-tube feeding yet. Is she getting enough nurishment, I hope. Sounds like you are exploring the area which is great. I checked the temperture and it was 37 and foggy. Hopefully you are enjoying the cold weather. I hope you both are holding up and we miss you and love you very much. Can't wait to read the blog tomorrow. Kiss my love Alex for me!
